The provision meets requirements
The childminder demonstrates a good understanding of her role and responsibility in safeguarding and protecting children. She is fully aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect. She knows how to proceed if she suspects a child is at risk. The childminder reflects on her practice and has attended a good range of childcare courses to ensure her knowledge remains current. Feedback from parents helps her to evaluate how well she is meeting the children's needs. This shows a commitment to continuous improvement.
p.1
The provision meets requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
p.1
Inspection activities
The inspector discussed with the childminder how she intends to deliver the educational programme for children and undertake assessment of their development. The inspector and the childminder viewed areas of the childminder's house that will be used for the care of children. The inspector looked at documentation the childminder will use when caring for children, and discussed self-evaluation and improvement plans. The inspector checked evidence of the suitability of the childminder and members of her family.
