Children have use of a wide variety of books and toys that are well organised in an extremely comfortable and interesting playroom. The childminder helps them to use scissors safely as they learn how to cut out the pictures they have drawn. She effectively uses the information she receives from the different training events that she attends. This helps her to review the quality of her provision for children's learning. The childminder has formed good relationships with parents and other providers of settings that children attend. She completes regular and precise assessments of children's progress, and uses these to plan for their learning. The childminder builds on what she finds out about children's interests to help guide her activity plans. However, this information is not used effectively to provide ideas and strategies for parents, to extend children's learning at home. The childminder is skilful at adapting activities to make sure that all children are fully involved and included. She knows how to identify and respond to any safeguarding concerns and
