children also attend, in order to promote continuity in children's care and learning. For example, she goes along to help with art and craft activities in school and finds out about what children are learning so she can also focus on the same topic during her activities. Partnerships with parents are good and help to meet children's individual needs. The childminder has received many positive written comments from them. For example, they say she is a 'marvellous person, skilfully equipped to care for children and provide for their learning and development needs.' The childminder provides a homely environment in which children can play and relax together. For example, she has a 'cuddly box' with blankets and teddy bears for children use.
p.1
The provision meets requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
p.1
Inspection activities
The inspector discussed with the childminder how she intends to deliver the educational programmes for younger children and undertake observation, assessment and planning. The inspector and the childminder toured the areas of the premises that she will use when she cares for younger children. The inspector looked at policies and documents the childminder will use and discussed self-evaluation and improvement plans. The inspector took account of the views of parents of older children who use the provision in the form of written feedback. The inspector checked evidence of the suitability for all those living on the premises and other documentation in relation to the safeguarding and welfare requirements.
