This provision is outstanding
The childminder and her assistant provide excellent teaching. They ensure that all activities are engaging and interesting for children. This allows toddlers to learn alongside older children at a level they can understand. As a result, all children make extremely good progress. Babies, toddlers and older children all display the confidence, independence and skills, appropriate to their age, to ensure that they are emotionally well prepared for full-time school. Clear and regular assessments ensure that any gaps in children's learning are addressed early. The childminder's commitment to continuous professional development has a highly effective impact on the quality of teaching that she provides. She consistently uses what she has learnt to deliver fresh and exciting learning experiences for children. Consequently, the childminder displays the motivation and commitment to sustain the outstanding levels of care and teaching for children.

This provision is outstanding
Children settle quickly and happily into this welcoming setting. Their names and craft works are displayed, which helps the children to feel valued and have pride in their achievements. Children have formed strong bonds and attachments with the childminder and her assistant. They display extremely good levels of behaviour, confidence and self-esteem as they help each other with small tasks and openly show affection. Children joke and giggle together with the adults, which shows they are happy and having fun. Children's safety is highly prioritised. The childminder has a detailed knowledge of the action she would take if she had any concerns about a child. She expertly teaches children how to manage risks for themselves. As a result, children behave responsibly and safely while exploring the exciting environment and activities provided.

Inspection activities
The inspector spoke to and interacted with the childminder, her assistant and children throughout the inspection. The inspector looked at the environment, resources and equipment provided and how effectively they are used to support children's play and learning. The inspector examined a selection of information and documentation relating to the suitability of adults, children's safeguarding, welfare and developmental progress. The inspector and childminder jointly observed and discussed children's learning and development during play.

who attend. This is outstanding
Children of all ages, who attend this setting, receive fun and high-quality activities, which teach them all the fundamental elements they need to be curious and imaginative learners. Creative role-play activities enable children to understand what will happen in the eclipse. As a result, toddlers proudly announce that their head is the moon as they move in front of the sun, which is another child who is holding a torch. The childminder further extends their learning with craft activities, photographs and reference books. The childminder and her assistant take every opportunity to engage children's thinking. For example, children notice a wet patch on the paving and this triggers a discussion and investigation as to where the water might have come from. Consequently, children are well prepared for the next stage in their learning and eventually full-time school.
p.3
outstanding
The childminder and her assistant are skilled in forming strong bonds with the children. Babies, toddlers and children have their care needs exceptionally well met. Close links and partnerships between the setting and home enables babies to adapt at their own pace, which helps to reduce their anxiety. The childminder uses clear explanation and endless patience to enable children to be as independent as possible and to be aware of danger and keep themselves safe. Toddlers show that they can manage risks responsibly by holding on and taking the garden steps slowly and one at a time. As a result, children benefit from highly effective care practices, which promote their emotional well-being. Children show that they care for each other as they help to find a younger child's hat and the childminder's boots. They giggle happily as the childminder talks about the different sizes while demonstrating with a small baby's hat on her head.

provision is outstanding
The childminder delivers the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage to an outstanding level within her home environment. There is scope to extend the learning that children receive outside the home. This will provide excellent opportunities for shy children to expand their confidence in communicating. The childminder is committed to continue to extend her qualifications and knowledge. Her assistant also attends regular training and workshops alongside the childminder. As a result, they deliver bright and motivating learning, which all ages of children can participate in equally. The childminder assesses and reviews the quality of her setting and children's progress through an effective monitoring and assessment programme. She uses the information to extend and expand children's learning to encompass their interests and their individual next steps in their development.
