who attend. This is outstanding

The childminder has an exceptional knowledge and understanding of how to support children's learning through highly stimulating and engaging activities. She has a wealth of experience and uses this to support children to make excellent progress in their learning and development. Through regular, precise assessments and observations, alongside discussions with parents, she plans very clear learning objectives for each child. As a result, children are enthusiastic learners and develop the necessary skills to support them with their move to school. The childminder supports children's communication and language skills consistently well. She engages children in conversation and gives them time to think and consider their response. Children are cared for in a safe and welcoming home which is exceptionally well resourced. They are supervised well and carefully supported to learn how to manage their own safety. Children are provided with healthy, well-balanced diets and are successfully encouraged to use good hygiene routines. Children's physical development is supported exceptionally well through regular visits to local parks, open spaces and regular walks. They learn to behave well and to respect each other's feelings. This is because, the childminder sets clear boundaries and acts as a good role model with a calm and consistent manner. Children demonstrate that they feel emotionally secure in the childminders care. For example, they warmly greet her on arrival and readily seek her out for cuddles during the day.

She robustly monitors the planning and teaching because she regularly assesses what children are learning. As a result, any gaps in learning can be identified and rapidly closed. Extremely strong links are established with other settings that children attend. The childminder effectively uses a communication book to share information about children's progress. As a result, children's care learning and development is complemented exceptionally well. The childminder is extremely proud of the excellent partnerships she has forged with parents.
