This provision is outstanding
The quality of teaching is outstanding. The childminder provides an exceptional range of high-quality learning experiences for children. As a result, children are highly motivated, eager to explore and enjoy their learning. Children who speak English as an additional language make excellent progress in their learning because the childminder implements individual learning plans to support their needs. The childminder's extremely robust observation, assessment and planning system means that each child's learning is extremely well supported. Therefore, children make outstanding progress. The childminder provides a wide range of nutritious meals and encourages children to feed themselves. This promotes an early positive attitude to eating a healthy diet and making good food choices. The childminder makes exceptional use of facilities in the local and wider community. This enhances children's learning as they take part in inspiring and fun activities, which

support their understanding of the world. The childminder establishes first class partnerships with parents. They are well- informed about their child's developmental progress. As a result, children develop a very strong sense of belonging and security, and make the best progress in their learning and development. The childminder's effective policies, procedures and record-keeping systems are maintained to a high standard. This ensures that children's welfare is safeguarded and protected.

who attend. This is outstanding
The childminder has an expert knowledge of how children learn and provides an outstanding range of learning opportunities. The childminder plans an extensive variety of rich outdoor learning experiences. For example, during Chinese New Year, she took the children on a train to visit China Town to explore and investigate different types of lanterns and decorations. The childminder establishes children's starting points. Parents fill in a starting point questionnaire and contribute to a tracking document once the children settle. The childminder offers play experiences which she plans from accurate and sharply focused ongoing observation and assessment. The childminder ensures that her planning precisely matches children's individual stages of development and their current needs and interests.

outstanding
New children settle quickly because the childminder supports them extremely well and allows them time to explore the environment at their own pace. Children show excellent levels of concentration and engagement in activities as they make their own discoveries through active learning. Children show high levels of confidence and independence. However, the childminder intends to develop additional ways to increase children's independence, such as lowering the height of children's coat pegs to enable them to learn to hang their coats up. The childminder praises and encourages children to walk up the stairs safely by holding on to the handles. Consequently, children develop awareness of safety and gain confidence and self-esteem. Children behave very well because the childminder has high expectations of their behaviour and teaches children to share, take turns and respect each other.

provision is outstanding
The childminder understands her responsibility to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. She involves parents and keeps them exceptionally well informed about their children's learning, in order to promote a comprehensible approach. Parents record their own observations and share these with the childminder through a daily diary. The childminder records and incorporates these observations in her planning. The childminder shares regular development summaries with parents in order for them to support their children's learning at home. This helps to ensure that children are well prepared for moving on to the next age of learning or school.
