The areas that were identified as requiring improvement from the last inspection were: ensuring young people have their views consistently documented in sanctions records; the disposal of redundant white goods; and gaining consent from those with parental responsibility for individuals to meet with the organisation therapist. These recommendations have now been met.

The views of young people being subject to sanctions are now documented appropriately, even if the young person does not wish to comment. A young person expressed that although, they had written no comment on several sanction forms, they understood the sanctions and were advised to read and discuss, prior to signing the form. This inspection
The leaders and managers have used routine visits by the independent visitor as reported in the regulation 33 reports, along with the regulation 34 reports to identify ways to improve the quality of service while making it safer for young people. The registered manager has been proactive by creating a declaration of employment form ensuring that all staff understand that they are to report any changes in their Disclosure and Barring Service status or other concerning information immediately. Staff have recently updated their training in safeguarding, specifically regarding young people going missing and being exposed to child sexual exploitation both male and female.

Good relationships and effective communication with the police and the wider community have resulted in the safe return of young people who have been missing. Young people are able to access supportive services which assist in their emotional well-being while staff work alongside them, supported by a detailed risk assessment. 3 of 5 This has resulted in good responses and engagement by young people while staying safe.
