This provision is good
Children have good learning experiences because the childminder knows them well and tailors her planning to their learning needs. The childminder works very well with parents, engaging them in children's learning so that they are helped to progress at home and with the childminder. Children learn to be confident individuals because their relationships with others are strong and their social skills are well developed. The childminder organises her service in line with legal requirements and implements good practices, which is having a positive impact on her service and outcomes for children.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder has not fully developed all spaces to support learning and development in a way that allows children to move between environments and access resources easily.

who attend. This is good
The childminder is confident in her teaching skills. She understands how children learn and where they are in terms of their development. The childminder keeps parents and others informed, working together with them to plan activities across the different areas of learning. She provides activities to follow children's interests and extend what they know so that they are keen to learn and make good progress. The childminder is friendly and encourages children to participate in activities. Children enjoy the interactions they have with her and sit for sustained periods looking at pictures, cutting, and sticking onto a collage. The childminder promotes their communication and language skills well and helps children develop their vocabulary through her ongoing conversations with them. Children are physically active, strengthening hand and wrist muscles and building balance and coordination as they play.
p.3
good
The childminder builds on children's confidence and self-assurance by being a positive role model. She shows them how to behave, to use manners, and befriend other children. They are learning to share and take turns during their games. Children are learning to do tasks for themselves and make their own decisions, which increases their independence. The childminder successfully promotes their good health and safety through her routines and good practice. Consequently, children are learning to eat healthily, be active and to stay safe. The childminder provides a safe and welcoming environment. She makes sure children are emotionally ready to manage change and move between settings; this enables them to develop the skills they need for school.
p.3
provision is good
The childminder has good monitoring and assessments systems in place. This means she is well informed and can guide learning effectively. She has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and maintains children's welfare and safety well. The childminder reflects on the service she offers and seeks parents' views to help her identify what she needs to do to improve. She maintains her knowledge and skills through training and seeking the support of other childminders, to move forward with ideas. She has a good understanding of safeguarding issues, including suitability issues. She implements policies and procedures that help her maintain good practice. Her strong partnerships with parents and others help to support children emotionally and in all areas of their learning.
