Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching in all playrooms and the outdoor learning environment. The inspector held discussions with the childminder and her two assistants during the inspection. The inspector looked at children's development records, planning documentation, evidence of the assistant's suitability and a range of other records, policies, and procedures. The inspector took account of the views of parents recorded on questionnaires and assessment forms.

who attend. This is outstanding
The childminder displays impressive examples of numbers, letters and words in the setting. For example, she labels all drawers and toy storage boxes with words and pictures of the toys inside. This helps children make choices, select toys and put them away. They become familiar with words and letters and link them to the pictures on the boxes. This successfully teaches children the early skills for reading and writing. Babies acquire key skills to support their development. For example, the childminder encourages playing and exploring with plenty of interactive toys to inspire their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. However, the childminder does not have an extensive range of natural resources for babies to investigate and extend their inquisitive nature further. Nevertheless, the quality of teaching is consistently high. The childminder and her assistants maximise learning opportunities and, as a result, children make excellent progress as they prepare for school.

The childminder's high quality of teaching ensures children learn about healthy lifestyles and keeping themselves safe.
