p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder has limited understanding of the learning and development requirements to meet children's needs. As a result, the quality of teaching is not good enough to benefit children's individual learning experiences and restricts progress.  The childminder is not aware that she must carry out observational assessments, as part of the progress check at two to share with parents. This means she does not understand the importance of reviewing young children's progress and identifying and addressing any areas where progress may be less than expected.  The childminder was not able to demonstrate a valid first-aid certificate to show she has gained up-to-date knowledge to treat children's minor accidents and illnesses. This means she is not able to fully promote children's well-being. This is also a breach of the Childcare Register requirements.  The childminder's process of evaluating her service is ineffective, which demonstrates a

Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
