each day and the home is kept secure to promote children's safety. The childminder is fully committed to developing and extending her knowledge and understanding of how children learn through attendance at training courses. She has completed extensive training and workshops since the last inspection, because she recognises this has a positive impact for the children in her care.
p.1
The provision meets requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
p.1
Inspection activities
The inspector discussed with the childminder how she delivers the educational programmes for children and undertakes observation, assessment and planning. The inspector looked at evidence of suitability of household members and a range of other documentation, including safeguarding procedures. The inspector discussed with the childminder her self-evaluation form and improvement plan. The inspector observed areas used for the care of children along with the equipment and toys.
