who attend. This is good

The quality of the teaching across the pre-school is good. Staff provide a range of stimulating, challenging learning experiences for the children, both inside and outside. For example, the children have opportunities to look for over wintering bugs in the wildlife area. As a result, children are motivated, eager to explore and develop a knowledge about the world around them. Staff regularly observe and assess the children's development and children make good progress from their starting points. However, occasionally, assessments are not sharply focused enough to fully tailor all activities to meet every child's individual needs. The staff effectively promote children's literacy skills, although there are occasions when the books are not within easy reach for the younger children to independently select. The staff are extremely effective at developing the children's language and communication skills. They use every opportunity to promote children's

The staff assist the children to use real hammers and nails safely and discuss the risks involved. All staff are highly skilled at developing plans to support children's individual needs, including those with medical conditions, English as an additional language or special educational needs and/or disabilities.
