This inspection: Not met

Previous inspection: Satisfactory 3 The setting does not meet legal requirements for early years settings

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder has a poor knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage as she has not kept herself up to date. Consequently, she is not meeting a number of legal requirements, which also relate to the requirements of the Childcare Register.  The childminder has failed to maintain a valid first-aid certificate. Therefore, she is unable to demonstrate how she will continually promote children's safety and welfare.  The childminder has not updated the written statement for complaints that she will issue to parents, to include the correct contact details for Ofsted. As a result, she cannot demonstrate how she will provide sufficient relevant details to parents as appropriate.  The childminder has an adequate understanding of the different areas of learning and demonstrates how she will provide appropriate learning opportunities for children both indoors and outside.  The childminder understands how to support some areas of children's well-being. She

She has a suitable knowledge of child protection procedures and her responsibilities for recording and reporting concerns.  The childminder suitably demonstrates how she will work in partnership with parents and other early years providers in order to support continuity in the children's individual care and learning needs.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
