who attend. This is outstanding
The childminder pays astute attention to developing children's communication and language skills. She uses pictorial and written labels to help them understand that written words carry meaning. Younger children point to objects as the childminder repeats single words using facial gestures and intonation. They respond with pure enthusiasm, shaping their mouths ready to repeat the sounds they hear, then babble with excitement as they achieve this. The childminder's teaching practice is excellent. She takes time to carefully observe and identify each child's interests and abilities. Indoor learning is extended into the outside environment, but there is scope to enhance this further so that children can learn about sustainability and the natural environment. The childminder's high expectations and attention to detail enable her to provide exciting challenges, which enable children to achieve exceptionally well across the areas of learning. As a result, they
