timeliness of action taken should a child require emergency first aid. The childminder has a range of documentation that she would use to support her practice. She demonstrates that she has processes to appropriately gather information in relation to children's care needs to enable her to begin to plan for their care. The childminder demonstrates a sound understanding of appropriate behaviour management strategies and shares these with parents. This helps to ensure children learn about the expectations of good behaviour. The childminder demonstrates that she is aware of the value of exchanging information with parents, carers and other providers to promote continuity of care and learning for each child and to help them to feel settled and secure in their surroundings.
