suitability checked. You were also asked to ensure that any assistant who might be left in charge of the children for any period of time also holds a current paediatric first-aid certificate.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
At the monitoring visit of 12 November 2014, the early childhood regulatory inspector found that you have taken action to address the issues raised. You have provided Ofsted with details of your assistant and carried out suitability checks to ensure that they are suitable. This helps to safeguard children's welfare. Written permission is now obtained from parents that they agree to you leaving their child with your assistant should the need arise. This means that it is clear to parents who their child may be left with and they know that the person has undergone suitability checks.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
You have recently attended at approved course of training for paediatric first-aid and have obtained a first-aid qualification, which is valid for three years. This means that you would be able to react promptly and appropriately in the event of an emergency. This safeguards and protects children in your care. You have arranged for your assistant to attend a paediatric first-aid training course by the end of November 2014 and this further protects children attending your setting.
p.2
Outcome of monitoring
You have made several improvements to your documentation and record keeping. This supports the smooth and efficient running of your business and thereby protects children. You now have an accurate daily attendance register. This means that you have a records of which children are attending on any particular day. You have forms which parents must complete, providing details of children's dietary requirements, health needs and allergies before the child starts with you. This means that you have all required documentation in place to keep children safe.
p.2
Outcome of monitoring
You have worked with the local authority adviser to improve your system of recording children's starting points and tracking their developmental progress. This means that you are able to tailor the planning for their next steps to meet their individual needs. Due to this, you will be able to support children in their learning and offer additional support if you identify that their progress is less than expected. You are now planning for children's learning and assessing their progress to allow children to learn and develop through purposeful play and activities.
p.2
