The provision meets requirements

 The childminder has a sound knowledge and understanding of the learning and development requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. She knows how to provide appropriate learning opportunities to meet children's individual needs and has systems in place to track their development to ensure they make progress.  The childminder has a knowledge of child protection procedures and understands her responsibility to protect the welfare of children in her care.  The childminder understands how to promote children's well-being. She demonstrates that she provides children with a choice of healthy snacks and daily opportunities for fresh air and exercise. She also understands how to positively manage children's behaviour relevant to their age and stage of development.  The childminder gains information from parents in order to support children's individual care and learning needs throughout their time at the setting.

 The childminder appropriately demonstrates how she promotes children's safety and welfare. For example, she ensures that risk assessments of the premises are carried out each day and that the building is kept secure to promote children's safety.  The childminder has implemented the action and recommendations set at the last inspection.
