Monitoring for provision judged as inadequate
An Ofsted inspector, Lindsey Pollock, monitored your provision on 11/08/2014 following your inspection where the provision was judged to be inadequate.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
As a result of our inspection on 01/05/2014, we sent you a notice to improve. If you were set actions at the inspection, or as a result of our subsequent monitoring or investigations, these are included at the end of this letter.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
During the monitoring visit, the inspector discussed with you the steps that have been taken to address the actions raised in the notice to improve. The inspector looked at how you have improved the systems for assessing the risks to children on outings and the steps you take to ensure they are appropriately supervised on these occasions. The inspector also looked at the action you have taken to ensure an accurate record of attendance is maintained for all children.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
The inspector found that you have been proactive in addressing the issues raised at your previous inspection. You have worked with your local authority adviser and welcome her continued support and guidance. You have reviewed and revised your risk assessments for outings to ensure you are confident that children will always be within your sight and or hearing. The risk assessments now include how you will ensure children's safety when you are using a double buggy for transporting children and need to go into buildings, with limited access. You have revised the way in which you record the times of children's attendance and this now clearly shows when they are in your care. The actions you have taken will help to safeguard children while in your care.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
Having considered all the evidence, the inspector is of the opinion that the childminder has taken prompt and effective action to address the points for improvement.
