During the monitoring visit the inspector discussed with you the steps you have taken to address the actions raised at your last inspection. She observed that the adult-to-child ratio and the safety of the garden including outdoor toys. The inspector also discussed the childminder's risk assessments for identifying potential hazards. The inspector discussed the deployment of co-workers to ensure children are within sight and hearing and observed they play experiences provided for children.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
The inspector found that you have taken appropriate action so that the adult-to-child ratio is maintained. The inspector found that suitable risk assessments are in place to identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate action is taken to ensure broken toys are inaccessible to children. The inspector found that you have developed a secure understanding of the importance of ensuring that you and your co-minder are adequately deployed to ensure children's well-being. For example, ensuring an adult is both indoors and outdoors to supervise children's play and their rest times. The inspector observed that children are engaged and have access to a range of toys that are age and developmentally appropriate to support their learning.
p.1
Outcome of monitoring
You stated to the inspector that you recently received contact from local authority for support, and that you will make contact in the near future to attend courses to strengthen practice in relation to the care and learning for younger children. Having considered all the evidence, the inspector is of the opinion that the childminder has taken prompt and effective action to address the points for improvement.
