continuity of care in children's learning and development. The childminder understands how to manage children's behaviour by providing clear and consistent boundaries. This ensures that children know what is expected of them. The childminder fully understands that behaviour strategies must not be used that could adversely affect a child's well-being. The childminder understands her responsibility to safeguard children and the procedure to follow in the event of her having concerns about a child's welfare. She understands the need to ensure children are well supervised by providing a safe and secure environment.
