This inspection: Not Met Previous inspection: Met

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 This inspection was prioritised by Ofsted after the childminder failed to inform Ofsted of significant events, which may impact on the welfare of the children cared for. This is a breach of the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as the requirements for the Childcare Register.  The childminder does not keep an accurate record of children's hours of attendance and is, therefore, in breach of a legal requirement.  The childminder holds a current paediatric first aid certificate and has the knowledge and skills to meet children's needs in the event of an accident or an emergency.  The childminder shows through discussion a suitable understanding of how to manage children's behaviour.  The childminder has a suitable knowledge and understanding of the learning and development requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. She has a satisfactory understanding of assessments and the learning and development process.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder has a suitable understanding of promoting partnerships with parents. For example, they are provided with clear information about how her setting works though her policies and procedures.  The parts of the premises, resources and equipment to be used for the care of the children are suitable. The childminder understands the procedures for the safeguarding and the supervision of children. This helps to promote children's safety.
