p.3

Progress

The responsible individual aims to re-open the home and anticipates that their imminent registration with a local consortium of placing authorities, will result in referrals for potential placements. If they are successful and considered for young people, a recruitment process for new staff will commence. Should the home decide to accept new admissions, they are required to inform Ofsted of their intention before they do so.

p.3

Progress

The physical condition of the home is good, both inside and out and is subject to at least weekly maintenance checks. Only minor attention will be required to bring the home to a state of readiness if it is to re-open. The home has the capacity to provide a very comfortable and pleasant place for young people to live in. All policies and procedures are in place in the home.

A number of actions were made at the inspection in March 2012. As the home has remained closed since then, these have not been addressed. A requirement is made to ensure these are met prior to the home becoming operational.
