The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder is not meeting the learning and development requirements of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. She lacks knowledge of the prime and specific areas of learning and the early learning goals. She is also not aware of her role to complete a progress check for two-year-olds or to work with parents and others to promote children's learning and development.  In discussion, the childminder demonstrates she understands how to maintain her own and other household members' suitability and when to notify Ofsted of any changes. She describes appropriate methods for managing children's behaviour.  The childminder has addressed previous concerns and actions relating to safeguarding. In discussion she demonstrates an adequate understanding of how to protect children from harm and to take prompt action if she has concerns about their welfare.  The childminder has addressed previous concerns and actions relating to children's

health and safety. She uses an appropriate risk assessment and checks in order to maintain a safe and secure environment. The childminder has current first aid and food safety certificates and understands how to effectively promote other aspects of children's good health.  The childminder has organised a suitable selection of toys, games and books in child- height storage, which allows for children to make independent choices in their play.  The childminder has support from the local authority early years team who are helping her to access further training and to develop safeguarding procedures to share with parents. However, the childminder is not currently meeting the requirements of the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register because she does not have written safeguarding or complaints procedures.
