p.3
Progress
At the last inspection in May 2012, the overall effectiveness rating of the home was good. The home has made good progress since the last inspection. Developments and improvements ensure that young people remain well cared for and safe. Young people’s outcomes have been improved, for example, all young people are now educated alongside their peers within mainstream education. Young people are happy living at the home and enjoy a warm, relaxed and friendly manner with staff.
p.3
Progress
Two recommendations that were made at the last inspection have been addressed. The home's manager has reviewed the children's guide. The children's guide now contains all the information children require if they want to know how the home operates or who to contact if they are unhappy about anything. This helps young people to know what living at the home is meant to achieve, and it also helps them to access suitable help lines should they wish to.
p.3
Progress
The home's manager and the head of care have written a draft development plan for the home. The development plan has been circulated among the staff team and senior management for comments. This means that all staff know what the strengths and weaknesses of the home are and how they can continue to develop the services they provide.
