Progress

At the last full inspection the home was judged as good overall. Since the last inspection, the manager and staff team have worked very effectively to further improve the service. The one action set at that visit has been fully implemented. There are no new actions or recommendations resulting from this visit.

p.3

Progress

Overall, young people who live at the home enjoy very positive and constructive relationships with the staff team who work there. For example, the use of restraint and sanctions are very rarely necessary with the young people living at the home. Where events have occurred, the log used to record the description of the event has been improved to ensure that it now includes all of the information required.

Progress

The manager and staff team use a broad range of group meetings, surveys and individual discussions to consult with young people, their parents, carers and placing social workers. These arrangements work very effectively and ensure that the wishes and feelings of young people and those involved in their care are taken into consideration. The manager maintains detailed records of the views received. They incorporate these where possible into their plans to further improve the service and the day-to-day running of the home.
