Summary of complaint
On 9th March 2011, we received a complaint that raised concerns about the suitability of the provider following an incident involving unacceptable behaviour. We needed to investigate the concerns to see whether the provider was meeting the Early Years Foundation Stage welfare requirements relating to ‘Suitable people’. In particular, these include a requirement which states that 'providers must ensure that adults looking after children, or having unsupervised access to them, are suitable to do so.'
p.1
Summary of complaint
We do not investigate to prove or disprove a complaint but we check the information to see if the provider is meeting all legal requirements. We carried out an announced visit to the premises and found that the provider was meeting the Early Years Foundation Stage welfare requirements relating to ‘Suitable people’ because the incident involving unacceptable behaviour, Ofsted were assured was an unusual occurrence and would not happen again in the future.
p.1
Summary of complaint
Although it was not part of the original complaint received we found that the provider was working in breech of the conditions of registration by using the children's bedroom when not registered to do so, which is an offence.
p.1
Summary of complaint
Following our investigation, we did not sent the provider a warning letter in relation to the offence because we believe the offence will not occur again in future, therefore no further action will be taken. However, the offence will be taken in to consideration should further breeches of conditions occur again in the future.
p.1
Summary of complaint
The provider remains registered with Ofsted.
